It’s general election day (Nov. 6) in South Dakota. Polls are open 7am-7pm local time. Results can’t be released until after 8pm Central Time to allow for polls to close on the western side of the state.
As a reminder to social media users, South Dakota does have a law in place about when it is and isn’t legal to photograph your ballot. A blank, unmarked ballot may be photographed, but once any mark is made on it, it’s illegal to take a picture.
Registered voters may view their sample ballot, polling location and other election day details online via the Voter Information Portal on the Secretary of State’s website www.sdsos.gov.
Tune in to all of the Dakota Radio Group radio stations tonight for election results as they become available.
