PIERRE, S.D. – Members of the Pierre Governor wrestling team attended the annual Northern State Wrestling Team Camp recently and came home with first place medals. The Governor wrestlers had 4 matches which Pierre won. They down Madison 45-18 and Lead Deadwood 70-9. Then they defeated Redfield 39-20 and Aberdeen 34-29 for the closest match of the Team Camp. The squad won the Team Belt that is given by Northern State to the winner of their Wrestling Team Camp tournament. Pierre has won 4 consecutive State Class A Wrestling titles and 6 of the last 7 and will be favored to win again next school year.
