CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. – Plankinton edged Chamberlain 3-2 in Pony Hills League Amateur Baseball action Thursday night in Chamberlain. Both teams were limited to 6 hits in the pitching affair that saw 3 Plankinton pitchers. Travis Gant started the got the win for Plankinton as he struck out 7 and allowed all 6 hits in 7 innings. Mike Swartz went the distance for Chamberlain allowing 6 hits and striking out 10. Plankinton scored all 3 of their runs in the third inning. Chamberlain scored both of their runs in the 8th inning off of reliever Deion Waddle. Tyler Waddle came in and got the save. Ryan Schoenhard and Kyle Forrester each had 2 hits apiece for Chamberlain which fell to 1 and 3 on the season. Chamberlain will travel to Gregory to face South Central on Sunday.
