USD Signs to Play Northern Arizona in Football

VERMILLION, S.D. — South Dakota football has agreed to a home-and-home series with the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks of the Big Sky Conference. The two teams will compete Sept. 12, 2020, in Flagstaff, Arizona, and Sept. 11, 2021, in Vermillion. It is the second-such series between the two programs. They first met in 2013 where Northern Arizona earned a 22-16 win in Flagstaff. The Coyotes countered with a 28-21 victory inside the DakotaDome in 2014. South Dakota has faced a Big Sky foe in every season since 2008, and that streak will extend to at least 2021.
