Two Pierre and One Chamberlain Team Finish in Top 3 of State Softball Tournaments

HURON, S.D. – A pair of Pierre slow pitch softball team had a successful state tournament last weekend. The Grey Goose/CM Electric/DPB of Pierre finished third in the South Dakota USA Softball Division 4 tournament. The Pierre squad got to the semi finals of the tournament before being eliminated. It was the second highest finish for Pierre team in a State Softball tournaments this year. Goldies/Cor Insurance of Mitchell was the Division 4 champion. Another Pierre team got to the title game of the Division 5 East tournament before losing and finished second. Black Hills Credit Union lost in the championship game to the Iron Horse Cowgirls of Sturgis. And in the Division 6 East tournament, a Chamberlain squad got third place. The Silver Dollar Bar got to the semi finals before being eliminated. Vasek Rentals, LLC of Sioux Falls won the Division 6 East championship.
