KENNEBEC, S.D. – The first round pairings for the State Class A Amateur Baseball tournament have been released by the South Dakota Amatuer Baseball Association. The tournament will begin Saturday and continue Sunday in Renner. Friday night’s first games have Brookings taking on Yankton at 5:30 pm followed at 8:00 pm by Renner and Brandon Valley. Saturday night’s first round action has the Sioux Falls Brewers taking on Castlewood at 5:30 pm and the Sturgis A’s take on Aberdeen at 7:30 pm. The double elimination tournament will continue on Saturday afternoon and Sunday with 2 teams eliminated and the 6 teams with 1 loss or less advancing to the State Class A Amateur Baseball Tournament on Friday, August 10 in Sioux Falls.
