WATERTOWN, S.D. – The Pierre Governor Golf Team fired a 348 team score and had a 8th place finish at the Watertown Invitational Golf tournament Tuesday. Harrisburg won the team title with a 311 team score, 3 shots better than runner up Watertown. Lucas Schaefbauer of Aberdeen Central was the individual medalist with a 72 and one shot victory two other players. The top Pierre score on the day was an 85 fired by Thomas Kropp. That landed him in a 25th place finish. Tyler Swensen had an 86 and Grady Klundt fired an 87. Carter Karst came in with a 90 and Sawyer Lee had a 91. There were a total of 62 golfers in the field. Next up for the Governors is the ESD tournament that will be played on Saturday at the Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron.
