JC Byer is Pierre Warrior of the Month

PIERRE, S.D. – JC Byer of the Pierre Governor football team is the September Warrior of the Month at Riggs High School. Byer is listed as a statistician for the Governor football team but his expertise is Analytics. This season he has begun traveling to every game with the team and running live analytics for the coaching staff during the games in addition to his work during the week for game planning. The “Warrior of the Month” award was created as a way to recognize students involved in athletics, fine arts, and other extracurricular activities at T.F. Riggs High School. This award is presented to students in partnership with the South Dakota National Guard. All individuals nominated are then voted on by the Pierre School District Staff by taking into consideration students’ character, citizenship, and grades.
