Lady Gov's Have 4 Players Named All State

PIERRE, S.D. – Four members of the State Class AA Soccer Champion Pierre Lady Governors were named the Class AA All State Girls soccer team on Monday by vote of the coaches of the Class AA soccer teams in the state. Seniors Emily Mikkelsen and Abigail Foster were named to the first team All State squad while senior goalkeeper MaKenzie Rath and junior Janaina Zanin earned Second team All State Honors. Mikkelsen and Foster led the Lady Governor offense throughout the season with Mikkelsen the leading scorer and Foster next in line followed by Zanin. Rath recorded 8 shutouts on the season in goal for the Lady Governors. No member of the Pierre Governor soccer team was named to the All State squad.
