David Jenkins led the way with a career-high in scoring, hitting eight 3-pointers en route to a 35-point showing. Mike Daum added 18 points with four rebounds and four 3-pointers, while Skyler Flatten scored 13 with a trio of 3s. Tevin King led the Jacks with nine rebounds and dished seven assists. Jeremiah Martin and Tyler Harris led 6 Tigers in doulbe figure scoring with 22 points apiece. The Jackrabbits dropped to 7-3 with the loss as a late rally fell short against the Tigers (4-4).
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.-The South Dakota State women’s basketball team opened Tuesday night’s game against Chattanooga with a 10-0 run and cruised to a 71-54 win in nonleague action in front of 1,279 fans in McKenzie Arena. Macy Miller, who moved into second in career scoring at SDSU (5-3) on a 3-pointer in the second quarter, led four Jackrabbits in double digits in scoring. The senior tallied 17 points and was a perfect four-for-four from 3-point range. Paiton Burckhard scored 12 points and grabbed a team- and career-best seven rebounds. Madison Guebert and Myah Selland each had 11 points. Lakelyn Bouldin led UTC (4-6) with 18 points. Mya Long added 12 points.
