Class AA All State Boys Basketball Team

HURON, S.D. — A super sophomore, four seniors and a junior comprise the first team of the 2019 Class AA Boys’ All-State Basketball Team, which was selected by the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association. After helping Yankton to a Class AA state championship as freshman, Matthew Mors added to his already impressive resume by earning first team honors for a second consecutive season. He is joined on this year’s first team by seniors Evan Talcott and Carter Olthoff, who helped Brandon Valley to this year’s Class AA title, senior Jared Jaros of Sioux Falls Lincoln, senior Nick Hoyt of Harrisburg and junior Kobe Busch of Huron. Hoyt, Talcott and Busch are also repeat selections after being named to the second team a year ago. The second team of the 2019 Class AA Boys’ All-State Basketball Team consisted of senior Dylan Pourier of Rapid City Stevens, junior Teegan Evers of Huron, senior Luke Ronsiek of Sioux Falls O’Gorman, senior Ryan Garland of Sturgis, senior Nate Brecht of Sioux Falls Lincoln and junior Akoi Akoi of Sioux Falls O’Gorman.
