Huron Hires New Head Football Coach

HURON, S.D. – The Huron School Board hired Scott Spanton to be the head coach of the Huron Tigers high school football team beginning next year. Spanton has a coaching career that has seen him coach in Texas High School football since 2003. He was at Texas Military Institute in San Antonio, Texas last year where he was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Spanton replaces Michael Schmidt to guided the Tigers for the last four seasons and thier first visit to the Dakotadome for the championship in 27 years last season.
