BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota State cornerback Jordan Brown recently accepted an invitation to a second college football all-star game, opting to play in the Reese’s Senior Bowl next week in Mobile, Alabama. Brown, who will be a member of the North team, earlier had received an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game, but will instead play in the Senior Bowl Jan. 26 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. Central, with the game televised on NFL Network. Practices begin Tuesday. A three-year starter for the Jackrabbits, Brown earned first-team all-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors during both his junior and senior seasons. Brown led SDSU with 12 pass breakups and ranked second with three interceptions in 2018. He also forced a fumble and registered 29 total tackles, 22 of which were solo stops. Brown is the second Jackrabbit player in as many seasons to be selected for the Reese’s Senior Bowl. Tight end Dallas Goedert received an invitation following the 2017 season, but did not play in the game due to injury. Goedert went on to be selected in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
