Post 8 Post Victory in Opening Game of Tournament in Minot, N.D.

PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Post 8 American Legion baseball team opened tournament play today in Minot, North Dakota with a 5-2 win over the SPBL 18U AAA Saskatoon Cubs . Post 8 unleashed a 10 hit attack with Matt Lusk leading the way with 3 hits and 2 RBI’s. River Iverson had two hits and an RBI for Pierre. Maguire Raske and Andrew Coverdale worked 6 innings on the mound with Raske picking up the win. Raske and Coverdale combined on a 4 hitter. With the win, Post 8 improved it’s record to 15-10 on the season. They will play again later tonight (Friday) when they face the Minot Magicians in the final game of the first day of the 3 day tournament. Game time is scheduled for 8:45 pm central time.
