Felker Claims SDGA Men's Senior Championship

MITCHELL, S.D. – Bob Felker of Madison fired a two round total 148 to claim a one shot victory over runner up Jeff Stockert of Aberdeen and Paul Schock of Sioux Falls to claim the championship of the SDGA State Men’s Senior Golf Championship tournament Sunday at the Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell. Felker fired rounds of 73-75 and held off the charging Stockert who fired a round of 71 on Sunday. Former Pierre Governor golf coach John Knox had a two round total 157 to tie for 13th in the tournament. Pierre golfer Bill Olander had a two round total 160 to finish in a tie for 22nd.

In the Over 70 tournament, Knox claimed the title with his two round total 157. Olander finished third. In the Pre-Senior tournament, Chris Long of Garretson fired a two round total 135 to claim a 6 shot victory over runner up Ryan Jansa of Sioux Falls.
