Pierre Post 8 U14 Wins State Title

PIERRE, S.D. – Pierre Post 8 U14 defeated Yankton Lakers 14U 10-0 on Sunday in the title game of the South Dakota State U14 Baseball Tournament in Pierre as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Pierre Post 8 U14 2019 tallied eight hits on the day. Jonathan Lyons and Jack Merkwan all managed multiple hits for Pierre Post 8 U14 2019. Merkwan and Lyons each collected two hits to lead Pierre Post 8 U14. Pierre Post 8 U14 2019 didn’t commit a single error in the field. Brady Getz was credited with the victory for Pierre Post 8 U14 2019. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Edman threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen. Pierre went 4-0 in the tournament starting off with a 13-8 win over Sioux Falls West on Friday. On Saturday Pierre downed Aberdeen 5-2 and Renner 10-0 setting up the State Title Game matchup on Sunday. Pierre finishes the season with a 33-6-1 record.
