SDGA Adult-Junior Tournament Played Sunday at Hillsview

PIERRE, S.D. – Hillsview Golf Course hosted the South Dakota Golf Association’s Adult-Junior Championship on Sunday and the Sioux Falls duo of Reese and Ryan Jansa won the 16-18 Division tournament with a 70. That was one stroke better than Jeff and Adam Salter of Rapid City. The Pierre Adult-Junior team of Derrick and Jessa McTighe fired a 86 good for 18th. Carter and Paul Karst had an 89 for a 23rd place finish. In the 14-15 age division the duo of Eric and Joe Munsen from Tea fired a 75 to claim a two stroke victory over Bill and William Sanford of Sioux Falls. Two Pierre twosomes of Haley and Fred Nadeau and Morgan and Jesse Lisburg fired a 103 and 104 respectively. In the 12-13 age division the team of Aaron and Luke Olson of Pierre finished in a four way tie for the lead after regulation but using a scorecard playoff, the Olson’s were second to tournament champion Adam Dannebring and Aaron Hieb of Mitchell. Nicklaus and Scott Bothan of Pierre finished third in that scorecard playoff. Jack and Mike Bartlett of Pierre were 7th with a round of 87. And in the 11 under division Chad and Lauren Knapp of Rapid City won the tournament title with a score of 79 and a one stroke victory. To view complete results of the tournament go to www.sdga.org.
