Pierre Youth Golfers Golf in SDGA Junior Tour Brookings Tournament

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Pierre youth golfers competed on Thursday in the SDGA Summer Tour series stop in Brookings at the Brookings Country Club. In the boys 16-18 division tournament, Carter Karst of Pierre fired an 82 to finish 10th, 8 shots back of tournament champion Will Allen of Harrisburg. Zane Baus had a 96 and Sawyer Lee fired a 99 in the tournament. In the boys 12-13 age division tournament Luke Olson of Pierre fired a round of 87 to finish in 5th place, 2 shots better than Jack Barlett of Pierre who was 6th. The Brookings stop on the tour was the last of two stops for the summer, The final junior tournament of the year, the SDGA Junior Championship tournament will be played Monday and Tuesday in Pierre at Hillsview Golf Course. Hillsview is also hosting the annual SDGA Adult/Junior Championship tournament on Sunday.
