MINNEAPOLIS – More college talent was selected by the Minnesota Twins Thursday in the MLB Draft. In round 2, the Twins chose Tennessee outfielder/infielder Alerick Soularie. Soularie, a junior, hit five home runs in 16 games this season for the Vols before it was cut short due to the pandemic. In 2019, Soularie hit .357 with 11 home runs in 60 games.
With their other two picks, the Twins went for prep talent, choosing righthanded pitcher Marco Raya from Laredo, Texas and outfielder Kala’i Rosario, only 17, from the big island of Hawai’i.
