SIOUX FALLS – Defending champion Rocco Mediate has committed to play in the PGA Tour Champions’ Sanford International in September at Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls. Last year, Mediate birdied the last two holes to win by two shots. Mediate has won four times on the Champions Tour and won six times on the PGA Tour. He also was the 2008 U.S. Open runner-up.
PGA Tour Champions rookie Tim Herron and Ken Tangiawa have also committed to play in the Sioux Falls event. Herron won over $19 million in his PGA Tour career. Tangiawa is the defending champion of the Senior PGA Championship.
This year’s Sanford International will be held September 7-13.
