RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women’s soccer team fell to Regis University, 5-1, on Monday afternoon. Originally scheduled for Sunday, the Jackets and Rangers were snowed out when the South Dakota weather made it look like Christmas in October. The game was ruled a no-contest after half-time due to safety concerns and the lines being covered up faster than they could be cleared. The decision was reached Monday morning to play the game at Sioux Park in Rapid City. The Jackets came away with three shots on goal, one resulting in a goal by former Pierre soccer standout Katie Nielsen. Regis had eleven shots on goal. Two Yellow Jackets Goal Keepers had a combined six saves in the net. DZ-Rae Jara, guarding the net for the first half and Teagen Hartley taking over for the second half.
