UNDATED – The NAIA followed the NCAA in cancelling all of its spring sports, an announcement made Monday morning. The cancellation came with the announcement that any spring sport student-athlete who was enrolled full-time in 2020 would be awarded two additional semester terms of attendance or the equivalent. The Great Plains Athletic Conference, of which Mount Marty College and Dakota Wesleyan are members quickly followed suit. Conference Commissioner Corey Westra said the decision was in the best interest of the student athletes and member schools. The GPAC follows nearly every other collegiate conference that offers sports in the nation that will not have any spring champions determined.
