Use any definition you like: Do you believe in “true love”? How you answer might depend on whether you’re in a relationship, or if you’re bitter, jaded . . . and more importantly, single.
70% of people in a new poll said they DO believe in true love. 30% don’t, and it jumps even higher for people who aren’t with anyone.
Only 64% of singles think true love is a real thing. And it drops even further to 62% for people who are separated or divorced.
88% of people who are married or engaged believe in true love, and so do 79% of people in serious relationships.
Not all of those people are living in bliss though: One in ten married people who believe in true love say they’ve experienced it before . . . but NOT with the person they’re married to.
