A ribbon cutting for Dakota Wesleyan University’s Learn & Earn program will be held today (June 18, 2024) at the Capital City Campus in Pierre. The program begins at 4pm with the ribbon cutting at 4:30.
Celebrating its third anniversary, the program, offered entirely on site in Pierre, is a 16-month path to a professional career and associate degree for students. The program also includes an added opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree. The curriculum is designed to prepare students to fill professional roles in Pierre and surrounding areas, while simultaneously earning professional certifications. The program integrates classroom and online learning with professional work experience. Students enrolled participate in a year-long, part-time, paid internships while completing their professional certificates.
Those attending will be able to meet DWU representatives and hear from area professionals about the program’s success. Light refreshments will be served, and door prizes will be given away.
Applications for prospective students are now being accepted for Fall 2024. For more information about the program or to apply, visit www.dwu.edu/learn-earn. Information is available for students, business partners and mentors.
