JULY 8, 2024:
One person died Tuesday (July 3, 2024, 9:59am) from injuries received in a June 27 crash 16 miles north of Watertown.
Preliminary crash information indicates 21 year old Micah Dietmeier of Milbank, the driver of a 2022 AGCO Terragotor crop sprayer, was making a left turn from 455th Avenue into a field approach when 87 year old Carol F. McFarland of Webster, the driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, attempted to pass and collided with the sprayer. Both drivers were not injured. A passenger in the Equinox, 88 year old Delwin H. McFarland from Webster, suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. McFarland passed away on July 3 from his injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.

Both drivers were not injured. An 88 year old male passenger in the Equinox suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. He passed away on July 3 from his injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
