Hughes County closing one mile stretch of 196th Street on Friday

The Hughes County Highway Department is closing a short stretch of 196th Street on Friday (Oct. 11, 2024).

The first mile of road immediately west of the Intersection with Highway 83 will be closed from 6am-6pm for a Mid-Dakota Rural Water Development project. Please use alternate routes during this time. Traffic on Highway 83 will not be affected.
