Is there anything better than deep-rooted rivalries in college football when both teams are competing for conference supremacy? To me, the answer is a resounding ‘NO’. Tonight the Jackrabbits of SDSU and the Bison of NDSU face off on ESPN2 on the biggest stage in a crucial game that has serious seeding implications.
The Bison currently rest atop the MVC with SDSU essentially tied with them as both teams sit with one loss on their record and an undefeated conference record. SDSU is 5-1 on the year, their only loss coming against #17 ranked Oklahoma St. NDSU has one more win to their name (6-1) with their loss coming in week 1 against a talented Colorado team. South Dakota sits between them and will play on the road against Youngstown St. on Saturday. Saturday nights game between the Bison and Jackrabbits will almost certainly award the winner with the first place spot in the conference, so there is a lot riding on this game despite the fact this rivalry makes it a massive game regardless.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 CT on ESPN2
