Event organizers in New York City spent the last few days advertising a contest in Washington Square Park, which took place on Sunday, Oct. 27, that would reward the best Timmy lookalike a $50 check.
The contest drew a HUGE crowd to the park, and one of those attendees was Timothée Chalamet himself!
The actor showed up in a mask and a baseball cap, but when he revealed his face to the contestants, everyone went crazy! With his bodyguards at his back, Timothée took some brief photos with the winning contestants.
Not long after Timothée made his appearance, NYPD shut the event down and gave the organizers a $500 fine for putting together an “unpermitted costume contest.” One of the contestants was also arrested, though the reason for his arrest has not been confirmed.
