You’ve probably noticed that there hasn’t been any new Elton John music in a bit. He even announced a new album last year . . . but where is it?
Well, we finally got an update. Elton stopped by “Good Morning America” last week and revealed everything is on hold for now . . . because he can’t even SEE.
Quote, “I unfortunately lost my eyesight in my right eye in July because I had an infection in the South of France. It’s been four months now since I haven’t been able to see. My left eye is not the greatest.
“There’s hope and encouragement that it will be OK, but I’m kind of stuck in the moment, because I can do something like this, but going into the studio and recording, I don’t know. Because I can’t see a lyric for start.”
He added that he’s been taking an initiative to treat it, because he can’t read, watch, or see anything. But regardless of his struggles, Elton still feels like the “luckiest man in the world.”
In related news, his upcoming documentary, “Elton John: Never Too Late”, hits Disney+ on December 13th.
