The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Pierre is this afternoon (March 17, 2024).
Central South Dakota Irish Club member Mark Gageby says parade lineup starts at 4:30 in the Georgia Morse Middle School parking lot.
Pierre-Fort Pierre Lions Club member Larry Caas says they are holding their annual Irish stew and Irish potato soup feed at the American Legion.
Irish club member Bill Molseed says this year’s parade grand marshal is Danny Hall.
When he first heard he’d been selected, Hall says he thought someone was pulling a prank on him.
Again, anyone is welcome to have an entry in the Pierre St. Patrick’s Day parade, just show up at the Georgia Morse Middle School parking lot at 4:30pm.
