The Govs went on the road and dominated yet again, this time beating Aberdeen Central by a final score of 14-3, their second double-digit defeat of the Golden Eagles this season. Pierre got out to an early 7-0 lead and never looked back, even when the Golden Eagles bats started to wake up. Pierre would answer that rally with another rally of their own, scoring seven more runs in the fifth which would ultimately be the final inning.
Ally Keyes and Ireland Templeton would pick up three RBI a piece in the win. McKenzi Flottmeyer would hurl a gem only giving up three hits in five innings of work and tallying eight strikeouts. Aberdeen now falls to 0-9 while the Govs improve to 3-5 after the win. Pierre now looks ahead to a packed weekend of softball, starting with their makeup game against Brookins on Friday.
