ABERDEEN – A Florida man entered a plea of not guilty Friday in connection with an incident last month where Philadelphia Eagles’ tight end Dallas Goedert was punched at a bar.
29-year-old Kyle Douglas Hadala of Sarasota, Florida, is charged with a misdemeanor count of simple assault. A trial date has not been set. Hadala is free on a personal recognizance bond.
On June 20, Goedert was at a bar when he walked over to two men and reportedly asked them to stop saying disrespectful things. That is when Goedert was punched.
Goedert is from Britton and starred at Britton-Hecla High School and South Dakota State before being selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Eagles. Goedert, who was second on the Eagles in receptions last season when they won the NFC East, is entering his third NFL season.
