Months of hard work and practices at Hollister Field and Georgia Morse Middle School finally paid off for Pierre Special Olympics athletic team as they brought home some hardware from last weekends State Tournament in Vermillion. The Wildcats had been working relentlessly on their track events for weeks, and they showed off that work in many different events ranging from the tennis ball toss to the long jump at the annual competition.
One of the many highlights of the weekend came when the 4×100 team made up of Skylar Pagel, Trevor Hayes, Jonathan Weiscthat and Colton Miles took home the gold running the event in one minute flat. The Wildcats and Hub City Express had many other athletes who also placed in competitions, and you can see them in the pictures below.
