The biggest High School Finals Rodeo in the country concludes today with ceremonies, and last night was the final rodeo performance at Stanley County Fairgrounds to conclude the 76th annual finals which will be held in Fort Pierre until 2027. After the short-go, there wasn’t much movement on the leaderboards as mostly everyone who had qualified for Nationals had been solidified. To see the full week’s scoreboard, you can click here.
The cowboys and cowgirls that did qualify now look ahead to the National Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, WY. which will take place July 13-19th. We will release the rosters once released by SDHSRA.
Today closes a really important week/weekend in Fort Pierre, as the High School Finals Rodeo has been a mainstay for some time and is logistically perfect for almost all competitors being placed directly in the middle of the state. The influx of contestants and their families also brings welcomed business to the town, and helps local small business thrive.
