BROOKINGS – South Dakota State wide receiver Cade Johnson has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He made the announcement in his Twitter account on Tuesday.
Johnson set the school record for most receiving touchdowns in a season with 17 in 2018 and has 28 in three years with the Jackrabbits, third-most in program history. He has led SDSU and the Missouri Valley Football Conference in receiving for the past two seasons. Johnson is from Papillion, Nebraska, and there has been speculation about his possibly transferring to Nebraska, where his father played.
The MVFC announced recently that football has been postponed until at least the spring semester. The Big Ten announced Tuesday that all fall sports in that conference have been postponed.
