BROOKINGS – There will be no South Dakota State football this fall.
SDSU Athletic Director Justin Sell said Monday that practice likely will be delayed through the end of August. Originally, camp had been set to start early this month, then the date had been pushed back to Monday. Instead, the summer access period has been extended. In that, players can use on-campus facilities for up to eight hours per week for film study, weight lifting and other activities.
Missouri Valley Football Conference members were given the option to pursue fall non-conference schedules of up to three games after the league recently cancelled fall football with the hope of playing in the spring.
