Dec. 1, 2025:
One man died and another was seriously injured Sunday evening (Nov. 23, 2025, at 10:48pm) in a single vehicle crash one mile east of Claire City, SD.
Preliminary crash information indicates 27 year old Kasey Lee Stickland from Lidgerwood, ND, the driver of a 1992 GMC Sierra, was traveling eastbound on 105th Street near 456th Avenue and lost control of the vehicle, entered the ditch and rolled.
Stickland sustained fatal injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 28 year old Garret Devon Kriz also from Lidgerwood, received serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

The driver, a 27 year old man from Lidgerwood, ND, sustained fatal injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, a 28 year old man from Claire City, received serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
