At their end-of-the-year meeting Tuesday, Dec. 30th, the Walworth County Commission rescinded all motions from the previous meeting on the supplement budget and contingency fund transfers. Walworth County Auditor Kim Dills responded when Commissioner Justin Jungwirth questioned the need for such action.
The commissioners then discussed and approved Budget Supplement Transfers from the General Fund.
- $118,000.00 to the Commission. Auditor Dills said the amount reflects funds for an architect on the jail project.
The commission also approved:
- $28,000.00 for Child Defense;
- $7000.00 for the Courthouse;
- $10,000.00 to Director of Equalization for salary compensation;
- $2000.00 to Veterans’ Services. Auditor Dills said a new computer and printer were purchased;
- and $20,000.00 to Emergency Management. Emergency Manager Jeff Jensen explained the grant money that came through his office this year.
Next, the commissioners approved Contingency Fund Transfers.
- $1500.00 to the Mental Illness Board;
- $20,000.00 for the E911 Service Fund;
- $113.00 for the D.A.R.E. program;
- $3100.00 to the Courthouse;
