This year’s South Dakota Film Festival is going to look different this year. For the first time, the film festival will take place virtually and will happen over the span of ten days instead of the normal four.
The film festival will take place September 17th through the 26th. There will be around 50 different films and features that you can watch throughout the week. Executive Director of the South Dakota Film Festival, Tom Black says this new look will provide new opportunities.
He said the trailers and question and answer session will be available online and there are going to be a lot of great films to check out.
With this new format, Black says the film festivals expensive are down, but they still appreciate donations to help with the operations.
