Milwaukee Beats Canaries In American Association Championship Opener

FRANKLIN, WI – A six-run first inning propelled the Milwaukee Milkmen to an 11-6 win Saturday night over the Sioux Falls Canaries in Game 1 of the American Association Championship Series at Franklin Field.
Christian Correa hit a three-run homer to cap the big first inning for Milwaukee. Clint Couler and Jabari Henry homered for the Canaries, who are bidding for their first league championship since 2008 and are in the playoffs for the first time since 2010.
Game 2 of the series will be played in Franklin on Sunday.  Game 3 will be at Sioux Falls Stadium on Tuesday night.
