The end of June and beginning of July has been very good to the Oahe Zap. No offense in the ILB is producing at the rate the Zap have been over the last few series, and it seems they have turned the corner after a slow start to this summer season. Much like a year ago, the Zap needed time for all of the new names and faces to get settled in playing alongside one another. That transition took some time, but when it did, it turned into a run to the Championship Series for Oahe.
The Zap picked up their sixth straight win on Sunday, beating Bison Baseball 14-3. This win not only extended the win streak, it was their 10th win in 11 games while also seeing double-digit run production in each of those victories.
Garren Gledhill was the key catalyst for the Zap offense in Sunday’s win driving in six of the 14 runs on just two hits, including a grand slam. Connor Goldberg kept his bat hot with another RBI base hit in the win as the Zap continue to spread the love throughout the lineup.
The Zap will wrap up this stretch of games tonight against Bison before their final three days off of the regular season. First pitch tonight is scheduled for 6:05 PM CT with coverage beginning at 6:00 PM on River 92.7. You can also watch this game live on DRGnews.com/River.
