A 67 year old Sioux Falls woman died Saturday (Aug. 1, 2026) in a single-vehicle crash five miles west of Rochford, South Dakota, in Pennington County.
Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol indicates the driver of a 2025 Canam Spyder RT was traveling on South Rochford Road near Seven Hills Road when he failed to negotiate a curve. The Spyder left the road and rolled. The passenger died from her injuries. The driver was taken to a Rapid City hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
