PIERRE, SD – Franklin Street will be closed from Van Buren Avenue to Jackson Avenue today, Sept. 23, while City crews complete water service work in the area.
Crews are replacing a water service that supplies the sprinkler system at Devine Park. The work follows repairs that began Tuesday after a leak was identified at the sprinkler system’s curb stop.
The street is expected to remain closed throughout the day while crews complete the work and backfill the roadway. Some work may continue along the side of the road Wednesday, but the street is expected to reopen to traffic once the roadway work is complete.
