BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Department of Health is reporting a single-day high of 24 deaths due to the coronavirus- a number that officials attributed in a part to a lag of up to one week in reporting. The update released Wednesday included five deaths in Morton County, which officials have been worried about because of a recent outbreak in a long-term care facility. The health department says six of the deaths included in the report happened between four and seven days ago. There were six fatalities on Sunday, four on Monday and eight on Tuesday. The COVID-19 death toll now stands at 304.
