HURON – Kylee Small’s second goal of the game in overtime sent the Huron All-Stars over the Oahe Capitals in girls hockey Sunday 4-3 at Bergman Arena.
Micah Buffalo scored at 4:50 the first period to put Oahe (0-2) in front before Small, Devin Hunter, and Azalea Rashaad scored to give Huron (2-2) a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes. Brylee Kafka scored in the second period for the Capitals and Olivia Swenson tied the game just about three and a half minutes into the third period.
Abigail Stewart-Fromm made 46 saves in net for the Capitals, who were outshot 50-27.
The Capital girls will play their home opener Friday against Brookings at the Expo Center in Fort Pierre.
