CHAMBERLAIN – For the first time in four years, the Chamberlain Cubs are in the Class A Boys State Basketball Tournament. Chamberlain, at 17-4, will have its first round game on Thursday night against Sioux Valley (21-1).
Cubs Head Coach Adam Nelson said that his young men are pumped to be at state.
Senior Drayton Priebe leads the Cubs in scoring at over 18 points per game and is very quick. Nelson said that Priebe has other strengths.
Nelson said that Cameron Caldwell, Hayden Evans and Sellyck McManus are also very important for Chamberlain.
Nelson credited Sioux Valley with being very skilled offensively.
Nelson said that the Cubs must be very careful in selecting shots.
