SIOUX FALLS – Sioux Valley had an 18-0 third quarter run Thursday to pull away from the Chamberlain Cubs in a 53-44 win in the first round of the Boys Class A State Tournament at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
Chamberlain led 27-24 early in the third quarter before the Cossacks held the Cubs scoreless for five and a half minutes.
Kelton Vincent led Sioux Valley (22-1) with 16 points and Oliver Vincent had 15.
Drayton Priebe scored 13 to lead Chamberlain (17-5). Cameron Caldwell scored 12 on four three-pointers.
