ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Valley Football Conference has cancelled Saturday’s scheduled game between South Dakota and South Dakota State, which had been set for Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium in Brookings.
COVID-19 cases have been confirmed within USD’s Tier I personnel, which consists of student-athletes, coaches, managers and staff.
This is the third straight cancelled game for the Coyotes, who had to cancel last week’s scheduled home game with Northern Iowa. A game the previous week with North Dakota State was cancelled due to COVID-19 within the NDSU program.
SDSU also hasn’t played since March 20. The Illinois State game was cancelled after the Redbirds ended their season early. Last week’s scheduled game at North Dakota State was postponed until April 17.
