My parents aren’t going to be too happy after reading this, but it’s so true. I had the amazing opportunity to earn my degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Northern Colorado. My amazing parents helped me pay for some of it and I was able to get scholarships and loans for the rest. Well… yes I did learn the basics of cooking, cleaning, responsibility, and deadlines… I didn’t learn about paying taxes, balancing checkbooks, running a household, how to get nail polish out of the carpet, how to clean cupholders, adult decorations, how to make different types of dinners, how to fix something when it breaks… that list could go on for days! Who would have ever guessed social media would help me adult? I sure wouldn’t have!
All I can say is thank goodness for TikTok! I’ve learned more adulting tricks than from sitting in class and taking notes. The latest adulting hack is how to properly cook bacon! I came across this video and it’s extremely true! This is trending like crazy on TikTok! If you twist bacon and bake it… it’s the crispiest and judicious bacon you will have ever eaten!
