It’s so fun to see how the fashion trends change from year to year and decade to decade. If I had to describe my style, I’d say it is Western, with a “Paisley Twist.” I will give it to the Gen Z’ers (born 1997 to 20012)… they are bringing back some of the biggest trends of the ’80s and ’90s and a lot of us aren’t complaining about that.
According to YouGov, this year we are going to see more fanny packs and bucket hats. They say that these trends have been on the slow climb since the pandemic started, but we are going to see more of them as we move through the summer. I’m not going to lie, when I was younger, I use to rock a fanny pack all the time. Especially when my family went on vacation. I never got into bucket hats, but one of my best friends of all time loves them. We use to make fun of him all the time for wearing them, but now they are in. He’s now making fun of us.
I’m not going to jump on these trends right away, but eventually, I will probably be sporting a fanny pack. The hat though… that’s a little too far for me!
